magazine releasing when fired (380 thunder plus)

I recently purchased a .380 thunder plus. Upon taking it to the range for the second time (only the 50rnd mark) the weapon started ejecting the magazine after every round fired (unless, of course, I held it tightly in with my non-firing hand). Is there any simple fix for this (IE a heavier magazine release spring)? Or will this require new parts and a trip to the gunsmith?

I've never read about this happening with the Plus models however, I've read of operators of the standard size (7 rd) Thunder .380 who've had similar issues. The first thing the gunsmith would ask them to do is shoot the pistol with the other hand. The problem was that the magazine release button was being squeezed when as the pistol was being fired. You may want to give this a try, and if this is not the case, then I would highly recommend sending the pistol to one of the warranty centers, as this is not normal and the pistol comes with a lifetime service contract for the original owner. Good luck.
